Be like a River, not like a Pond

Bonjour my sweet peacocks. How are my business people, my family keeper people doing? Hope you are doing great, that you feel amazing and at peace. That your body/ mind/ soul and emotions are on track.

I wanted to make an allegory using the river and the pond. But let's define both terms.

A pond is, according to Lya's dictionary, that natural or man made water thing, shaped with some wildlife in it. According to Google dictionary: "a small body of water formed naturally or by hollowing or embanking... Natural ponds form in small depressions and are usually shallow enough to support rooted vegetation across most or all of their areas."

Wildlife,  fauna and flora grow in and around a pond. A pond is safe, stagnant (like its water). You kind of know what to expect, how to behave from it, there is no surprise. It is an easy-peasy lifestyle.  For the typical 9-5 workers, being like a pond is perfect because you go back to the same old same old every single day until you retire. Even if you evolve, you are in a pretty safe environment and your life is a pretty circle. You live inside a defined roundish shape. You are stagnant... No static... Sorry stable! There is a lot of security but no new fresh water, no new movement, no new inhabitant in your pond. Your water is muddy, the filtering system is different so it is more difficult to grow and live longer in a pond.  (I'm just saaayyyyiiiiing).

Now, here me out, I am NOT judging people who decide to live that lifestyle as employees. I am just here to show to my business owners, entrepreneurs and house parents that it is very difficult to keep that mentality since your call is to make sure that others are ok.

Now let's talk about the river: it is a natural stream of water that empties into another body of water like an ocean. So a river merges with something bigger than itself for bigger purposes... Aaaaannnnwwwww^^ (? this is the "wink wink"). A river is kind of endless because it belongs to a way bigger family. When you have a river mindset, you trust the Universe, you trust Life, you trust yourself because you know that you are here for a bigger purpose. You go with the flow knowing that it is going to be ALRIGHT.

No matter what your speed is, you always go where you need to go. Sometimes you move fast, sometimes you move slow. But you move to your goals, and that is what is important. On your flowing journey, you get rid of anything toxic, you renew oxygen, and beautiful wildlife that is always regenerating thanks to you. As a river, you receive and you give. Some stay, some go; but you never stop. You collect and redistribute.

I could keep going and going but you understand my point, my dears. For your business, families to be sustainable and flourishing, you definitely need to think like a river and give more trust to yourself and life.

That's all for me!
